Singer-songwriter and bassist Alice Genese, originally from Hoboken and now based in Ocean Grove, has been playing music for decades in powerful and eclectic bands, including Gut Bank, Sexpod and Psychic TV. Now, together with singer-songwriter-pianist Pony (Shaune Pony Heath), she has formed Ov Stars. The group, whose name represents an alternate spelling for “Of Stars,” will release its debut album, Tuesdays, on April 23.
