Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has disclosed that the county government is set to employ 115 qualified ECDE teachers this 2023-2024 Financial Year. Speaking in Kaptama Ward, Mt. We are going to employ more teachers to meet the required education standards.’ He reiterated the County Government’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education and also sustaining learners in school. ‘We must derive alternative ways of maintaining our children in class,’ he stressed, adding that a school feeding programme was underway in the region. His administration, he added, was intent on constructing more classrooms as well as undertaking a water project in Mt. It will serve this region and beyond,’ he insisted, intimating he was working around the clock to improve the livelihoods of area residents. He was accompanied by Deputy Governor Janepher Mbatiany, Kaptama Member of County Assembly Francis Chemion, Chief Officers Nicolas Kiboi (Education), Soet Sichei (Environment), and Senior County Officials, among others.
