Busia: The County Government of Busia has formalized an agreement with Alupe University aimed at enhancing the practical training of students in the medical field. This collaboration, facilitated through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by the County's Department of Health, seeks to provide students with valuable experience in County health facilities. According to Kenya News Agency, the signing ceremony, held at Alupe University, saw Busia Deputy Governor Arthur Odera affirm the county's dedication to supporting medical students. Odera highlighted the importance of the partnership in equipping healthcare students with practical skills through exposure to real-world medical settings, thereby fostering essential connections with healthcare professionals. Alupe University Vice Chancellor Prof. Peter Barasa expressed optimism regarding the partnership, considering it a pivotal advancement for the university. He emphasized the potential benefits of the MOU in enhancing research capabilities and servin g the broader Busia community.
