CS Owalo Condoles Family Of Journalist Rita Tinina


Information, Communications and the Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo has sent a message of condolence to the family, friends, Nation Media Group (NMG) colleagues and the entire media fraternity following the sudden death of Journalist Rita Tinina.

The late Tinina passed away on Sunday March 17, 2024 at her house in Kileleshwa Estate.

In his message, Owalo said he learnt of the passing on of one of Kenya’s outstanding journalists, the late Tinina with deep sorrow.

‘I extend my heartfelt condolences to Ms Tinina’s family, friends, NMG colleagues and the entire media fraternity during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all,’ he condoled.

The CS said Tinina’s contributions to journalism were invaluable, and that she will be remembered for her dedication to truth, integrity, and the pursuit of excellence in reporting.

‘During this time of mourning, may Ms Tinina’s loved ones find comfort in the knowledge that she made a significant and meaningful contribution to the field
of journalism,’ said Owalo.

He prayed to God to comfort and give the family strength during this difficult time of grief.
