Addis Ababa: Speaker of the House of Federation (HoF) Agegnehu Teshager has reaffirmed Ethiopia's readiness to cement inter-parliamentary cooperation with BRICS member countries. The Ethiopian Delegation led by Agegnehu Teshager, Speaker of House of Federation of Ethiopia, participated in the 10th BRICS Parliamentary forum held from 11th to 12th July 2024 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Speaker Agegnehu Teshager noted Ethiopia's readiness to strengthen political, economic, and people-to-people relations with other BRICS member countries through Parliamentary cooperation. Furthermore, the speaker and his delegation engaged in bilateral meetings with Russia, Azerbaijan, and Iran on the sidelines of the forum. These discussions focused on ways to enhance Inter-Parliamentary cooperation, bolster economic ties, and deepen political relations between the countries, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
