Ambassador Demeke Atnafu, Deputy Head of Mission, received and met leaders of chambers of business in Kenya. During the Meeting, the Ambassador gave briefing about the ample business and investment opportunities in Ethiopia mainly in priority sectors including agriculture, agro-processing, manufacturing, mining, IT and Tourism. He further elucidated the newly opened service sectors such as banks, telecom. Logistics and transport, import-export trade as well as the market based foreign exchange system to both domestic and foreign investors and invited Kenya companies to engage in these sectors. Chamber's President, Dr. Samuel Weruethe welcomed the newly introduced reform measures to open up the economy in particular service sectors and underscored that floating the Forex system would encourage and bolster Kenyan investment in Ethiopia.
