Addis Ababa: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Taye Atske-Selassie, met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Lars Løkke Rasmussen on the margins of the 79th UNGA in New York. In the course of their discussion, Ambassador Taye congratulated the Minister on the election of Denmark to the UN Security Council. He breifed him on current affairs in the Horn of Africa and Ethiopia's continued commitment in fighting against terrorism in Somalia. Similarly, Ambassador Taye Atske-Selassie, met with Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, to discuss bilateral issues. They also exchanged views on peace and security issues in the HoA. In their discussion on Somalia, Ambassador Taye noted that it is quite critical to maintain the security gains from the sacrifice of countries of the region and investments of the international community.
