Nyeri Governor Pays Impromptu Visit To Wards At The Nyeri County Referral Hospital


Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga has made an impromptu visit to the wards, maternity and outpatient units at the Nyeri County Referral Hospital.

Speaking at the facility Kahiga said he was only interacting with the patients in a bid to find out how they were fairing and their welfare at the hospital.

Ensuring quality healthcare is a fundamental priority of my government,” said Kahiga.

Kahiga said that every individual deserves the right to receive proper medical care and as the County Government of Nyeri, we are keen on the realization of this.

He said the county government is commitment to providing good healthcare, and are focused on improving healthcare infrastructure, enhancing our facilities across the entire Nyeri, and fostering a skilled healthcare workforce.

He also said through strategic investments and policy initiatives, his aim to create a healthcare system that is efficient, affordable, and equitable for all.

Those who had gone to visit their patients at the facility wards, were impressed by t
he Governor visit saying he gave them hope and words of encouragement.

James Mwangi a patient expressed his joy saying the governor’s impromptu visit at the ward caught them as a surprise and thanked him for the good job.

Those at the outpatients’ units were also not left as they too hailed the County boss visit, with some asking him to ensure they get medicine in the shelves after getting diagnosis.
