Trans Mara South: Efforts to recover the body of a truck driver who was swept away by floods on Mogor River in Trans-Mara South are ongoing. The man was swept away by floodwaters while crossing the River at Masurura Bridge in Lolgorian, Trans Mara South, Narok County. He was transporting 23 Honda motorcycles from Lolgorian to Migori. According to Kenya News Agency, Trans Mara South Police Commander, Bashir Ali, stated that the incident was reported by local residents, prompting immediate action by the authorities. He emphasized that efforts are underway to locate the man's body and recover the motorcycles, which were reportedly being transported for sale. The Police Commander further revealed that the driver was swept away after ignoring warnings from residents who had advised him to wait until the water levels subsided. 'Currently, divers from the area have been engaged in the search operation and efforts to recover the body and the motorcycles continue,' the commander said.
