Addis Ababa: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has extended his gratitude to the outgoing President Sahle-Work Zewde for her service she has delivered in the last six years.
The prime minister also extended best wishes to the newly appointed President Taye Atske Selassie who was sworn in earlier this afternoon.
‘One purpose of the reforms is to consolidate institutions. Appointed officials would discharge their responsibilities during their terms of office,’ he said.
And others that succeed them will achieve national goals through generational successions. This is how nation state building is carried out, he stated.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on behalf of the Ethiopian government expressed his gratitude to Sahle-work Zewde for the service she has delivered as president of Ethiopia for the past six years.
Meanwhile, Abiy extended his best wishes to the newly appointed President Taye Atske-Selassie.
