Addis Ababa: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed inaugurated the Federal Police Forensic Investigation and Research Center of Excellence today. 'Today, we inaugurated the Federal Police Forensic Investigation and Research Center of Excellence. Just a year and a half ago, when DNA testing was needed, we had to rely on external resources,' the premier posted on X. According to Ethiopian News Agency, Ethiopia has now established an institution capable of addressing DNA-related challenges domestically while also serving neighboring countries, the Prime Minister stated. PM Abiy further elaborated that this achievement reflects the significant reforms undertaken in the security and safety sector over the years.
