Addis Ababa: Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Kang Jung-ai visited Ethiopia. During her four days visit to Ethiopia the Minister held a meeting with the Ethiopian Defense Minister Aisha Mohammed. During their meeting, Kang expressed gratitude for the country's participation in the Korean War. She stressed the need to further enhance cooperation and expanding support for surviving Ethiopian veterans and scholarships for their descendants, according to the veterans' ministry. Kang also inspected the maintenance projects of the Korean War Memorial and reviewed the housing improvement projects. Additionally, she visited the Veteran's Village to encourage Korean War veterans and their descendants. Ethiopia was among the 22 countries that sent troops or medical support to South Korea under the U.N. flag during and after the three-year war against North Korean aggression, Yonhap reported.
